About the Course

Let's Make Rings! with Beth Carter-Gautsch

In this workshop you make at a ring out of a thicker silver or copper sheet for the band and

bezel set a stone for the decorative element. You will learn how to size ring bands for a

comfortable fit. This workshop is a great opportunity to learn to make rings or fine-tune your

metalsmith ring making skills. We will make at least one bezel ring. Students are invited to bring

small cabochons or stones for design consideration. The instructor will also have stones

available for student purchase.

If students want to create rings out of sterling silver, they are encouraged to purchase their own sheet metal. Recommend students purchase both 24 ga. and 18 ga. sterling silver sheet metal.
