Matters of the Heart: Jewelry Fabrication with Beth Carter-Gautsch

Students will make hearts out of sterling silver wire and copper sheet to create their own

pendant or earrings from the heart shaped elements. Students will be introduced to

basic metalsmith fabrication skills including metal textruing, sawing and soldering.

Students with metalsmith and soldering experience will also have the opportunity to

create a heart shaped hollow form* (an enclosed element that’s hollow on the inside).

This will be a fun workshop that will give you the opportunity to tap into your design

skills to create wearable objects.
