Slip Workshop with Cindy Hart

This class is about decorating your pots with slip, engobes, terrasigillata, underglazes and glazes.

We will talk about how to make them and how to use them at different stages, i.e. wet, leatherhard,

bone dry and bisque. We will also experiment with different types of surface decoration ( painting,

trailing, stenciling, slip transfer and glaze.) This is not a “making” class! We will experiment with clay tiles for you to take home for your reference. So bring a notebook, questions and lets dive into the diverse world of surface decoration!
