Youth Printmaking with Alex "Alligator" Medeiros

ages: 8-12

This 4-session class will introduce students to the basics of printmaking! If your young artist enjoys drawing, they will love learning to print their drawing in multiples! Students will become familiar with printmaking tools while creating monoprints and linocuts.

Students will start with a small block of linoleum and practice using carving tools and get an understanding of how to effectively communicate a design, using one color layer. Students will be given a second, larger linoleum block to create two-layer three color print. Students will walk away with 4-6 prints from this 4-session class.
