Painting Landscapes in Watercolor with Dr. Ginger Hicks

This course is suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Students are encouraged to bring a landscape photograph to class for inspiration. Students will transfer it onto watercolor paper and learn the techniques to create a watercolor version of their chosen landscape! Concepts like color mixing, painting surface preparation, and watercolor techniques will be taught. Students will learn to select an effective subject to paint, how to mix colors, use various watercolor techniques/materials, and evaluate their own works for refinement. Students should expect to complete one piece in 4 class sessions.
