Make What’s Old New Again:
Remake & Repurpose Jewelry Workshop
with Beth Carter-Gautsch
Welcome the new year by remaking and repurposing some of your old costume jewelry
to give it a new life. Bring old, worn out or pieces missing parts to this workshop for
design consideration. You will work with the instructor and other participants to refashion
an existing piece into something new that you will be delighted to wear again. Basic
jewelry fabrication skills will be taught that includes use of the soldering torch and
jeweler’s saw.
All tools will be provided. Available materials will include copper and brass round wire
and sheet. Sterling silver wire or sheet will not be provided but can be purchased by the
student prior to class.
Open to all skill levels. Good eyesight or magnification is necessary for this class.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a bag lunch.
