Printmaking: Linocuts with Lindsey Groomes

Printmaking is an exciting way to create 2D art in a new way. Students will create multiple prints by carving their drawing into a soft linoleum block and printing the image on paper. In this class we will learn the fundamentals of carving, positive and negative space and using lines to define contour and value. We may also experiment with other mediums with our prints like watercolor and collage.

Amount of Projects: 4-6 prints of 5”x7” image and 4-6 prints of a 2”x2” image
