Surface Decoration with Stencils with Cindy Hart

Freshen up the surfaces of your pottery! This class will have you experimenting with stencils of different materials- tarpaper, Tyvek, silkscreen, and more! Students will learn the difference between slip and underglaze and which one works best for their work. Embossed texture and surface design will be both be explored.

Wine cups and small dishes will be made for surface exploration, but students are encouraged to bring their own wet/leatherhard pieces to class if desired.
