About the Course

Clay Open Studio

Clay Open Studio will be on pause from October 1st through February 1st so we can restructure, address ongoing frustrations and concerns, and come back stronger.


During this pause, you are welcome to continue your creative practice in the following ways:

Create work from home and book a kiln rental. Please see Kiln rental guidelines. Take classes at the arts center for structured skill building


All work and personal items must be removed from shelves and lockers by Wednesday, September 30th. Anything left on October 1st will be discarded.


We are not selling clay at this time, but Magpie Arts LLC is very close and has great options for clay.


We know this transition may bring mixed feelings. We need to address the challenges that have surfaced for members, monitors, and staff. This pause is meant to give us the space to rebuild the program with consistency and communication.

Clay Open Studio ages: 16+

  • Studio members must be able to work independently

  • Studio members must have prior ceramic experience

  • Registration is for monthly use of the studio during the posted

    Open Studio Times (see below for hours)We do not pro-rate monthly studio fees

  • Membership includes access to our glaze studio and our house glazes (personal glazes must be approved)

  • Membership includes firing for pieces made during open studio (You may not bring additional work made at home)

  • Membership includes a shelf and locker for storage

  • Clay is available for purchase through The Arts Center (any clay purchased outside of The Arts Center must be approved)

  • Kiln yard is open during business hours and open studio for pickup and drop off

Tuesday: 10am - 12pm + 6pm - 8pm

Wednesday: Closed

Thursday: 10am - 12pm

Friday: 9:30am - 11:30am

Saturday AM: 11am - 2pm

Saturday PM: 6pm - 9pm (Closed 9/5, 9/12, 9/19)

Sunday: 1pm - 4pm
